CCI, SCC Open NAIA Playoffs on Road Tonight

The Southern California College and Christ College Irvine men’s basketball teams will play on the road tonight in the first round of the NAIA District 3 playoffs.
SCC (19-11), seeded fifth in the eight-team tournament, will play at No. 4 Biola (20-11). Sixth-seeded CCI (15-14) will play at No. 3 Westmont (17-11).
Top-seeded Azusa Pacific (27-3) will play host to Fresno Pacific (10-19), and No. 2 The Master’s College (18-9) will play host to Bethany (15-16). All games are at 7:30 p.m.
Winners advance to Saturday’s semifinals at Whittier College. The championship game will be held March 9 at Whittier, with the winner receiving the district’s automatic berth to the NAIA national tournament, March 16-22 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo.
