Country Nods: Garth Brooks, Billy Ray Cyrus, Brooks & Dunn and Mary-Chapin Carpenter received four nominations each Tuesday for the 28th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Brooks, Cyrus, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire and Travis Tritt form the field for Entertainer of the Year. Record of the Year nominees: Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart,” Brooks & Dunn’s “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” Collin Raye’s “Love Me,” John Anderson’s “Straight Tequila Night” and Tanya Tucker’s “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane.” The awards will be presented in nationally televised ceremonies from the Universal Amphitheatre on May 11.
