SOUTHERN SECTION SOCCER PLAYOFFS : DIVISION I BOYS : Fontana Upsets Ocean View in Overtime

Penalty kicks were the deciding factor as unseeded Fontana knocked off second-seeded Ocean View, 2-1, in overtime in a Division I boys’ soccer playoff game Tuesday at Fontana.
Ra Eng scored on a penalty kick four minutes into overtime for Fontana, which then kept Ocean View off the scoreboard for the final 16 minutes.
Ocean View (20-5-3) sent the game into overtime when Brian Engesser scored on a penalty kick in the final minute of regulation to tie it, 1-1.
Fontana (15-3-4) will play Redlands for the title at 8 p.m. Friday at Gahr High in Cerritos.
In the other semifinal:
Redlands 3, Santa Ana 1--No. 4 Redlands (24-) took a 2-1 halftime lead and upset top-seeded Santa Ana (21-4-2) at Redlands.
