Students on Guns and School Safety
As the world knows, the Los Angeles Unified School District has a major violence problem having to do with guns on campus. Unfortunately nothing is happening to overcome the situation. Something needs to be done before it is too late and we, as students, all agree. Caution needs to be taken before anyone else is shot on or off campus.
Metal detectors aren’t helping. We are not receiving them quick enough. School police should be guarding all possible entrances or gates and patrolling the halls to ensure security. Constant weapon checks should be held. Our learning environment should be safe and we should not have to witness the shooting of our peers. It is just not fair to us. Something needs to be done before it is too late.
