David R. Proctor has been named president of Los Angeles-based Xerox Computer Services, a division of Xerox Corp., which markets manufacturing planning and control software. Proctor succeeds Joel B. Nagelmann, president of the division since 1988, who resigned to pursue personal interests.
Over the last year, Proctor served as a consultant for several Xerox business units. Before these assignments, he was president and chief operating officer of Ashton-Tate Corp.
