Reader Says Campanis’ Banishment Should End

Isn’t it about time the lords of baseball, including Peter O’Malley, got some common sense and common decency and reinstated Al Campanis? After all, how long a sentence does a man deserve for misspeaking a thought that at its worst was a violation of political correctness. Certainly not a lifetime.
Milken bilks investors out of millions and is about to return to society. Even Manson gets a parole hearing every few years.
How about it, O’Malley? Give the man a job at which he truly excels. Who knows, you might acquire a few great new players.
