Don’t Glorify Taggers, Gangs

Your front page story with photos glamorizing a juvenile delinquent (“Teen-Age Posses Take Turn for the Worst,” Times Valley Edition, Feb. 26) will encourage other street rats by the notoriety you give Ricardo and the infamous Chaka. I would be concerned that the FCC fairness doctrine might require you to give equal time and coverage to rival posses.
The Times should spend more time covering positive contributions by our young people rather than highlighting destructive low-life juvenile delinquents.
