Veteran drag racing crew chief Maynard Yingst of Harrisburg, Pa., suffered a heart attack and died at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Tex. He was 43. Yingst was stricken in the pit area, where he and his crew were preparing a car for a qualifying run at the Slick 50 Nationals.
