OUTLOOK
The Warriors have finished last the past two seasons, but have a new coach, one who can crack the whip. Brown built Tustin into a powerhouse. He had a record of 138-53 with the Tillers and already has started pushing and prodding the Warriors. “The biggest thing I’ve been fighting is the attitude,” Brown said. “They’ve had years without success and they had that ‘Why care?’ attitude. But I think the kids are gaining a sense that we’re going to be OK.” Pitching will be the Warriors’ strong suit. They have depth and some ability. Guymon will be their ace. He was ineligible at the start of last season, but came on strong at the end. “I always heard that the players at Woodbridge felt they never had any pitching,” Brown said. “That won’t be the case this year. We have quantity and I think some real quality.” Lemmon, a three-year letterman, and Coker, a two-year letterman, should be the team’s top hitters.
