Whitman’s Candy Is Sold to Russell Stover: Specialty food company Pet Inc. said it sold its Whitman’s Chocolates business and trademark to Russell Stover for about $35 million. The sale had been opposed by the Bakery, Confectionery & Tobacco Workers Union, which said about 600 workers will lose their jobs.
