Youths Have No Respect

We have let the criminals in our society totally abuse the justice system. We are being held hostage in our free country by trigger-happy criminals and gang members. The only way to combat this problem is by having stricter laws and punishment.

Let’s start with our schools, since there is the root of our problems--lack of discipline. Whatever happened to the corporal punishment system that was used in schools? The kids that come out of our system lack one main ingredient when they join our society: respect.

Let’s revive corporal punishment for the betterment of us all, including the students themselves.

We should also go one step further in disciplining the kids in school. Parents should be held partly responsible for their children’s actions. If a student has continuing disciplinary problems, the parents should be forced to attend parental responsibility school, just like traffic school for those who break traffic laws or AA meetings for alcohol abusers.
