SAN CLEMENTE — A San Clemente man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl turned himself in to investigators over the weekend, police said Monday.
Marvin J. Bullock, 32, surrendered to police on Sunday night and was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
On Saturday, the girl told her parents that she was sexually assaulted by Bullock, a man she had seen before in her neighborhood. The girl’s parents immediately called police.
Officer Jim Greenwood began investigating in the neighborhood and received a telephone call Sunday night from Bullock, who said he wanted to turn himself in, said Sgt. Willie Moreno.
Bullock is scheduled to be arraigned today, Moreno said. He was being held in San Clemente City Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
