No Place to Break Bread

Your Feb. 12 Valley Life section contained a restaurant review by Max Jacobson featuring Breakin’ Bread Bistro. It sounded so good that I called the following afternoon for reservations for a party of four, leaving the message on their telephone answering machine.
We arrived at the restaurant at 5:15 (it was totally empty) and were told that, because I did not leave a telephone number, my reservation would not be honored, and we were turned away.
The restaurant was totally empty at 5:20 p.m., and they would not seat us.
Not to worry. We drove a bit further east to the Wine Bistro at 11915 Ventura Blvd. We were welcomed there without reservations and were served fabulous French cuisine at fair prices.
I suggest you have one of your restaurant reviewers visit the Wine Bistro and report on a real first-class restaurant.
