Big Blowup Technology: Normal-size photos, 8 by 10 inches, can be blown up into stadium size using a new technology called the Scotchprint Electronic Graphic System. The first company west of the Rockies to purchase the technology is Rembrandt Graphics of Anaheim.
The technology replaces screen-printing for one-of-a-kind large graphics.
Rembrandt used the Scotchprint system to create a display celebrating the Orange County Performing Arts Center. The 450-foot mural of photos is currently hanging at South Coast Plaza, Jewel Court, in Costa Mesa.
