Hearing on Cedars-Sinai Master Plan
As an engineer formerly with the County of Los Angeles, I have had substantial experience with the problems connected with planning and engineering. As a neighbor of Cedars-Sinai, I have taken great interest in the medical center’s master plan.
Those of us who live near Cedars-Sinai have been inundated with the development of shopping centers and hotels. We arrange our daily schedules so that we can avoid the traffic and congestion generated by these projects.
But how can that be compared with a plan to provide for our community’s future health care needs? The Cedars-Sinai master plan is the kind of development we need. It should not be held hostage to the legacy of poor planning that brought so many shopping centers to our neighborhood.
Cedars-Sinai has been a good neighbor and will make every effort to improve traffic within the medical center and on the surrounding streets. Their master plan should be quickly approved by the Los Angeles City Council.
