Sun Micro Links Up With Russian ELVIS: Sun Microsystems Inc. said it will jointly develop wireless network technology with a Russian company founded by the republic’s chief satellite designer. Under the terms of a new licensing agreement, Sun--which is based in the San Francisco Bay Area--will take a 10% stake in ELVIS, an acronym for Electronic Computer & Information Systems. The 2-year-old Russian company employs 53 scientists who will work with Sun on the development of various communications projects for “nomadic,” or go-anywhere, computing.
