NOT JUST GREEN BEER: Leonore Coyne, organizer of a recent Irish Fair in Laguna Beach, has one complaint about St. Patrick’s Day: “It’s becoming a day for amateurs; they think it’s gathering at the pub and drinking green beer.” The best way to celebrate, says Coyne, whose father was Ireland-born, is “to tell an Irish story.” . . . There must be a few around: More than 15% of the county’s 2.4 million people claim some degree of Irish heritage.
