New Film Industry Foundation Formed: The Motion Picture and Television Fund, a charity that provides various health and social services to entertainment industry families, has formed a new foundation chaired by Walt Disney Studios Chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg. Also being formed is a 32-member board of directors that includes such prominent industry figures as International Creative Management Chairman Jeff Berg, entrepreneur David Geffen, Creative Artists Agency Chairman Michael Ovitz, MCA President Sidney Sheinberg, director John Singleton and such stars as Whoopi Goldberg and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The foundation will help develop resources for the fund, which is best known for operating an entertainment industry retirement home in Calabasas.
