Pedestrian Killed on Ventura Freeway

A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed Sunday on the Ventura Freeway in Studio City, authorities said.
The male victim, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said Officer C. Josang of the California Highway Patrol.
A motorist traveling west on the freeway at 4:45 a.m. felt a bump and discovered that the car had hit a pedestrian on the freeway, Josang said. No further details were available, she said.
