Lisa Fernandez of UCLA set an NCAA record for winning percentage for a career when she pitched a no-hitter to defeat Oregon State, 4-0, in the second game of a Pacific 10 Conference softball doubleheader at UCLA’s Sunset Field.
The victory gave Fernandez, 11-0 this season, a lifetime record of 71-4 and a winning percentage of .947. A minimum of 75 decisions are required by the NCAA to establish a record.
