‘Cycle’ to TV: Robert Schenkkan is adapting his 1992 Pulitzer Prize-winning play “The Kentucky Cycle” as a miniseries for HBO. The six-hour play, co-produced by Los Angeles’ Mark Taper Forum, tells the interlocking stories of three families in the Cumberland Mountains over a 200-year span. Washington and Broadway openings are scheduled this fall. Schenkkan and Emmy Award-winning producer Stan Margulies (“Separate but Equal,” “Roots”) will produce the miniseries.
