World War II Draft Resisters
In your article, you’ve mentioned the Japanese-American draft registers, the famous and much decorated 100th and 442nd regimental combat team, but not a word about more than 6,000 Nisei veterans who served in the Pacific war with distinctions.
I’m a disabled veteran of the World War II. For your information, I did not tuck my tail between my legs like a beaten dog; I answered my call to serve. I did so proudly.
I am more proud today of all Nisei veterans who served in that terrible conflict. We all could have easily sat out the war, but when the going got tough, we got tougher. And came through with flying color, thank God!
