DODGERS : Karros Gets Big Hits in Victory Over Royals

HAINES CITY, Fla. — Eric Karros homered during the sixth inning and singled in the winning run during the eighth, leading the Dodgers to a 6-5 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.
Karros has three home runs in 15 spring games.
The Dodgers’ 11-hit attack also included two hits each by Eric Davis, Cory Snyder and Kevin Elster, who played all nine innings at shortstop. Davis hit a two-run double against David Cone during the third inning.
Dodger right-hander Kevin Gross, who had given up three earned runs in 17 innings, gave up two first-inning runs before settling down.
The Dodgers are scheduled to play the Atlanta Braves today at Holman Stadium, but heavy rain is predicted.
