Minority Honorees: Three Los Angeles-area screenwriters will be honored by the Writers Workshop Fourth Annual Ethnic Minority Screenwriters Development and Promotional Program at the Pacific Design Center tonight. Shawonia Hudson and Larry Petrisky will be recognized for “Smokin’ the Homie” and Don Matos will get an award for “No Father, Son, or Holy Ghost.” Other winners are Kenya M. Branch of Philadelphia and John Richo Henry III and Kenneth N. Wei of New York. Since the program’s inception in 1990, 12 writers have received contracts with major motion picture studios and production companies.
