Trabuco Hills pitcher Carey Smith was 10-0 during the regular season last year, and he’s on another winning streak this season.
Smith, a 6-foot-2 right-hander, is 3-0 for the Mustangs (4-1-1). He’s 13-1 since joining the Mustang varsity in 1992, losing only to Corona in the first round of the Southern Section 3-A playoffs.

Cammy Ciarelli, Huntington Beach High girls’ volleyball coach, will be one of several pro beach players competing at the For Peace Sake pro-am tournament April 3 at Santa Monica State Beach Club.
Also scheduled to compete are El Toro’s Angela Rock, Laguna Beach’s Gayle Stammer and Alison Johnson, and actor Richard Moll of “Night Court.”
Tickets to the tournament and beach party are $35 per person, with proceeds going to the Daniel Freeman Hospitals and Emergency Relief Fund.
