Gov. Florio Receives J.F.K. Courage Award

BOSTON — New Jersey Gov. James J. Florio received the 1993 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award on Monday.
Florio, cited for leadership in gun control and education reform despite daunting political opposition, received the award at the John F. Kennedy presidential library in a ceremony that coincided with the 76th anniversary of Kennedy’s birth.
