2-Truck Collision Creates Freeway Jam

Traffic along California 126 was stopped for more than five hours Wednesday after two big-rig trucks collided on a two-lane stretch of the highway at Piru Creek, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred about 3:55 p.m. when two tractor-trailer rigs--one empty and another towing a mobile home--collided as they approached each other at the creek, the CHP said.
The roadway reopened late Wednesday evening.
No major injuries were reported, but officials said at least one person suffered minor injuries. The names of the drivers were not available late Wednesday, the CHP said.
Hazardous materials crews were dispatched to the scene when one of the trucks leaked diesel fuel across the highway, the CHP said.
Traffic was rerouted through Piru until the scene was cleared, officials said.
