Independence One Bank of California: The Mission Viejo bank posted a 57% gain in second-quarter profit, to $2.2 million from $1.4 million a year earlier. Profit for the first half rose slightly, to $3.9 million from $3.8 million. Total assets as of June 30 declined 11%, to $981 million from $1.1 billion.
