Del Mar Additions: Are They Worth It?

When we read that Del Mar had added 5,000 additional seats, we drove to the track, paid $3 for grandstand seats and started looking for seats. The only seats available were south of the I-5 freeway. We then bought reserved seats at $4 each. This entitled us to sit in the very last row, third-deck grandstand, overlooking four thick pillars.
For $7, we would also add 5,000 extra seats.
