Terminal Data Earns $40,000 in 3rd Quarter

Terminal Data Corp., a Moorpark maker of scanners and document-imaging equipment, said it earned a $40,000 fiscal third-quarter profit contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $251,000.
In the three months ended June 30, Terminal Data’s revenue rose 9%, to $5.6 million from $5.1 million.
For the first nine months of fiscal 1993, the company posted a loss of $870,000 contrasted with a loss of $709,000 a year earlier. Revenue fell 5%, to $14.9 million contrasted with $15.7 million a year earlier.
Terminal Data said sales of its scanner products climbed 26% in the first nine months. That growth, however, was offset somewhat by lower sales of spare parts and from discontinuing its duplicator product line.
