The city’s artistic community can begin picking up applications for the 1993-94 Cultural Funding Program sponsored by City Hall.
The city will offer a total of $50,000 to nonprofit organizations and individuals who sponsor cultural events and projects in Dana Point.
In making its funding recommendations to the City Council, the Cultural Commission considers artistic excellence, the number of residents reached by a project, fiscal management, community support and the availability of matching funds, said commission Chairman Joseph Snyder.
Past grant recipients have included the Capistrano Valley Symphony, Coast Ballet Theatre, the Pacific Chorale, the Lawn Chair and Picnic Society and the Orange County Marine Institute.
Applications are available at City Hall, 33282 Street of the Golden Lantern, and must be returned by Sept. 1. For more information, call Kathy Ward at City Hall at (714) 248-3524.
