Some southbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway may be closed beginning next month while crews work on underground water and gas lines, but all lanes will be open during peak traffic hours.
The $1.2-million project by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works will relocate water and gas mains near the highway at Malibu Creek to accommodate the future widening of the bridge, Supervisor Ed Edelman said.
Work is scheduled to begin after Sept. 15 and continue through February.
