NAIROBI, Kenya — The body of a Ugandan rebel leader and former minister was found riddled with bullets in neighboring Kenya, a local newspaper reported Friday.
The body of Amon Bazira, 48, a minister in deposed President Milton Obote’s government, was found along the highway between Nairobi and the Rift Valley town of Nakuru, the Standard newspaper reported. Bazira led the National Army for the Liberation of Uganda, which is fighting to topple the government of President Yoweri Museveni.
There were no indications of who had killed Bazira, who was living in exile in Kenya.
