THOUSAND OAKS : Business Symposium Early Sign-Ups Urged

Entrepreneurs eager to pick up some recycling tips have until Friday to pay an early registration fee of $10 to attend Thousand Oaks’ second business symposium scheduled for Sept. 10.
After next week’s deadline, the registration fee will double to $20.
The symposium will feature workshops and discussions on how to build an environmentally friendly business, from buying recycled products to using natural-gas vehicles. The speakers also will offer tips such as how companies that buy recycled goods can get low-interest loans.
Also during the conference, a recycled-product trade fair will display some “green” inventions, including a carpet made from plastic bottles and rubber asphalt made from old tires.
The registration fee includes a continental breakfast.
