NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Man Seized After Officer Finds Rape in Progress

In what police called a rare occurrence, a man was arrested for rape in North Hollywood early Wednesday after a police officer caught him struggling with his alleged victim.
Robert F. Keith Jr., 33, of North Hollywood, was arrested about 1 a.m. after an officer found him assaulting a 50-year-old woman near the Burbank Boulevard exit of the Hollywood Freeway, Detective Jeff Dunn said.
According to police, Sgt. David Storaker arrived at the scene shortly after a witness reported the incident. After losing the suspect during a brief chase, Storaker called for a helicopter, which located Keith in a nearby field.
