Air Fair Saturday-Sunday
* The Hawthorne Air Fair features astronauts, flybys and static displays of more than 40 vintage war birds and other aircraft, Smoke & Thunder Jet Dragster, airplane rides, California Airshow Team, vendors, classic cars and a chili cook-off. Hawthorne Municipal Airport, 12101 Crenshaw Blvd. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $5; children 12 and under, free. (310) 676-1163.

* Old Pasadena Summer Festival includes a Taste of Old Pasadena featuring 18 restaurants, jazz music, children’s Fun Fest and the works of more than 150 artists. Saturday’s Swing Dance ($12.50 at the gate) goes from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Central Park, Fair Oaks Avenue and Del Mar Boulevard, Old Town Pasadena. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Free. (818) 304-1166.
