COUNTYWIDE : Yorba Linda Man to Head O.C. Fair Board

Randall G. Smith of Yorba Linda has been elected president of the Orange County Fair board of directors for 1994.
The nine-member board voted last week to elect Smith, 46, who owns a governmental relations consulting business in Irvine. Smith has been on the board since 1990. The board also elected Buck Johns, 51, of Santa Ana Heights to be vice president. Johns, a Newport Beach developer, has been a fair board member since 1985.
In addition, the board elected Norbert Bartosik, 43, of San Clemente to be its secretary-treasurer. Bartosik also serves as the fair’s general manager, a position he has held since 1983.
Also at last week’s meeting, the board selected July 8 to 24 as the dates for the 1994 fair. Board members also chose the theme “Saddle Up for Fun” to highlight the fair’s salute to horses and hay.
