Golden West Wins Hancock Title

Michelle Kravik scored 24 points to lead Golden West College to an 81-70 victory over Lassen in the championship game of the Allan Hancock Tournament Sunday in Santa Maria.
Kravik, a sophomore forward, was helped on the front line by freshman center Julie Murdent, who had 19 points. Both are from Fountain Valley High School.
Deana Itow, a freshman guard from Huntington Beach High School, added 22 for Golden West (12-2). Golden West made 18 of 31 free throws. Lassen (11-1) made seven of 10.
