‘Wild Bill’ Cottom Fondly Remembered

As a native, and longtime resident of South Bay (San Pedro) and one who was interested (in) motorcycle activities, may I applaud your article “A Motorcycle Lover in Life--and Beyond,” by Mr. Gordon Dillow (South Bay Edition, Dec. 10).
I had the pleasure and honor of knowing the late “Wild Bill” Cottom and attended school with his son. Mr. Cottom used to eat at my father’s restaurant on 10th Street and Pacific Avenue, The Place Grill. Truly, he shall be missed by those who knew him.
My simple eulogy to “Wild Bill”:
To rest, my dearest Mr. Cottom
Go rest, go rest, Our tears and joy will remain with you always.
