Antitrust Lawsuit Against Airline Dismissed: A federal bankruptcy court dismissed an antitrust lawsuit against Alaska Airlines by a smaller carrier, Seattle-based Alaska Air said. The suit, filed by MarkAir more than two years ago, was dismissed by agreement of the parties involved, Alaska Airlines said in a statement. A separate suit filed by MarkAir against Alaska, alleging breach of contract and other charges, is still pending in state superior court in Anchorage. MarkAir has accused Alaska of reneging on an agreement whereby MarkAir shared in Alaska’s frequent-flyer program and used Alaska Airline codes.
