Baldwin Builders Sued by Former Executive: The $35-million lawsuit claims the Newport Beach home builder breached a verbal agreement to make former Los Angeles divisional President Robert B. Burns a 10% partner in all of Baldwin’s projects in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Burns, who sued in Los Angeles Superior Court on Jan. 25, claims company owners James and Alfred Baldwin canceled his partnership agreement and engaged in other acts that forced him to resign.
