The company said Tuesday it has signed a contract to open a psychiatric program for Long Beach Doctors Hospital. The program still requires licensing by the California Department of Health.
OptimumCare, based in Laguna Niguel, operates and manages 10 psychiatric facilities in affiliation with hospitals and medical centers throughout Southern California.
The program for Long Beach Doctors Hospital would offer “partial hospitalization,” structured for patients who do not need around-the-clock clinical supervision. Patients, who typically live at home, would be admitted for treatment four to eight hours daily, three to five days per week.
