She lived up to her expectations last Friday when she scored 26 points and had 17 rebounds in a 79-75 overtime victory over Golden West, the top-ranked team in Southern California. Works was at her best in overtime, when she won the tip and scored the Chargers’ first six points. She added a late free throw in the victory that ended Golden West’s 25-game conference winning streak.
