DANA POINT : City Begins Replacing Crumbling Pavement

A pavement renovation program that started this week in Monarch Beach will continue in the city through June 14, city officials said.
The annual city program replaces crumbling sidewalks, curbs, gutters and driveway approaches. The project will cost $106,000, with about $50,000 funded by the federal Community Development Grant program.
The contract for the concrete renovation work was awarded to Lambaron Contractors Inc. of Lake Forest.
Work will be taking place at several locations in Dana Point, including:
* Monarch Beach north of Crown Valley Parkway through Friday.
* Central Dana Point area north of Selva Road from Tuesday to May 4.
* Lantern Village and Doheny Village from May 2 to May 27.
* Capistrano Beach from May 31 through June 14.
