Wednesday Funeral Planned at Library in Yorba Linda

Funeral services for family and friends of former President Richard Nixon will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace in Yorba Linda, the library announced Friday night. A private burial will follow at the library near the grave of Nixon’s wife, Patricia, who died last year of lung cancer.
The Rev. Billy Graham will lead the services. Eulogies will be delivered by President Clinton, Sen. Bob Dole of Kansas and Gov. Pete Wilson.
Nixon’s body will be flown to California on Tuesday and will lie in state in the library’s lobby beginning at 3 p.m. Public viewing will continue until 11 a.m. Wednesday. Library officials said the public can gather at the library at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

With the exception of the public viewing beginning on Tuesday, the library will be closed until 10 a.m. Thursday.
