Trade Gap Widens: The country’s current account deficit in July widened 21% to $1.37 billion from a revised $1.13 billion in June, the government said. The nation’s merchandise trade deficit expanded to $353.5 million from $118 million in June. Imports rose 3% and exports fell 3%, largely reflecting a drop in gold shipments.
