UCI Wins Opener in Women’s Soccer

The UC Irvine women’s soccer team defeated Cal State Hayward, 6-0, in its season opener Sunday at Anteater Field.
Kim Franzen scored two goals and Tracie Manz had a goal and two assists for the Anteaters. Lori Muzzonigro had a goal and an assist and Christina Rivera and Amber Willingham each scored for UCI.
Hayward dropped to 0-2.
