OUTLOOK
Santa Margarita took a big hit with the graduation of receiver/defensive back twins Brian and Brad Finneran, who got full scholarships to Villanova. So, the Eagles look to their strength, running behind that huge offensive line anchored by Beckett and Farris. Both are mobile, being recruited heavily and have already received scholarship offers. Newman and Garrigan should gain some serious yardage, and Collins will be a good complement. With similar talent in 1990, the Eagles also ran the ball and went 12-1. Though favored in some circles, Hartigan says the title still must be won against the Irvine schools.
