** Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, “Creepin On Ah Come Up,” Ruthless/Relativity. This Cleveland-based foursome emulates the hard-core rap stylings of Oakland’s Spice 1 quite capably on a few of this EP’s tracks. When these newcomers reveal sincere gospel harmonies on “Mr. Ouija,” it’s easily the first time that a gospel/hard-core fusion succeeds. Let’s hope their future holds more of this unique sound.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
