Venice 14, Huntington Park 0--Demetrius Posey and Ronnell Jamar each scored second-half touchdown runs of 15 yards to lead Venice to a nonleague win over the Spartans at Huntington Park.
The Gondoliers rushed for 158 yards, while the defense held Huntington Park to 19 yards on the ground.
Late in the fourth quarter, the Spartans drove 53 yards to Venice’s two-yard line, but the drive stalled on an interception by safety Anthony Gomez. Huntington Park quarterback Gabriel Madera completed 11 of 19 passes for 109 yards.
